Hailing from the coast of South Florida, ROCKET TO ANYWHERE is excited to show the world their unique blend of 80’s rock, indie exuberance and mainstream pop sensibility. Teaming up with veteran producer and songwriter, Paul Trust (Starset, Morgan Wallen) R2A debuts it’s very first EP, “Coast” on Panacea Records.
ROCKET TO ANYWHERE began in 2014 as frontman Ben Crane’s solo project in the bars, restaurants, and coffeehouses of West Palm Beach. From there, the band appeared on BalconyTV Miami, now Studio Road TV, reaching #1 on both the local and international charts with the first public performance of their single ‘Sleepless’ (https://youtu.be/xKscw6FlkBg). After that successful debut, the band brought their high energy live show to stages all over Florida, garnering support for their brand of ‘coast rock’. In 2016, the band hit major streaming platforms with an acoustic version of ‘Golden’, along with an accompanying music video that solidified their sand-in-your-hair, sea-air-fueled place in the indie-pop mainstream. They released their first full band single, ‘Mirror’, later that year, recorded in collaboration with Full Sail University, to their first national radio play and highest streaming numbers to date. The following shows, as well as their beach-infused sound, grabbed the attention of Florida’s largest waterfront music festival, Sunfest (www.sunfest.com), in the summer of 2017. Performing on the bill with such acts as Tori Kelly, Jon Bellion, Blink-182!, and more, the band saw their largest audience to date (2,500+) in their hometown of West Palm Beach. This appearance was accompanied by a PBS feature on their show ‘Art Loft’, bringing the band to a massive television audience (https://youtu.be/LEXlzYkuWZg).
ROCKET TO ANYWHERE signed with Panacea Records in late 2017, immediately following that with a new single, ‘F M W T Y’, and a new arena-ready sound. The release of ‘Coast’ in early 2019 marked the band’s first mainstream success on major platforms. With over 50,000 total streams in the first 5 days of release, the lead single ‘Sleepless’ found itself featured on over 200 curated Spotify playlists, and heard on national radio. The band has a planned new release with Panacea Records, expected late 2019/early 2020.
